Commentaries and Other Bible Study Helps - Prayer Tents - Prayer Tents

28:6-9 The Lord Has Heard Me. The psalm ends with confidence that God will protect his people and his anointed (i.e., the Davidic king, who represents and embodies the whole people, cf. 2:8). This leads to prayer for God to save them and to bless his heritage (cf. Deut. 4:20; 9:26, 29; 32:9). On God as shepherd, see note on Ps. 23:1.
