Don’t bother with certain people af times , out of love.
It is usual feeling that we need to keep taking the beating entertaining all kinds of naysayers who call themselves brothers, and say, “i tell you this for your benefit” (though they lie).
However, we find that God gave supernatural wisdom for Nehemiah to distinguish when people intended to waste time and lower morale. Nehemiah knew and did not give in.
The end result was the completion of the temple. Here we see something wonderful. How did Nehemiah know? And how was Nehemiah able to provide financially without taxing fellow Israelites (who were already heavily burdened)?
It was the providence of God. (v.16)
It was not Nehemiah’s great foresight or wisdom that gave him victory, but it was God.
When God is at work, He is faithful to provide and defend. Yet, the opposite is ok too. When we trust God and things don’t seem to go well, even that is the hand of God at work.
So God can give wonderful foresight to frustrate His enemies, but He can also keep us trusting in Him since we may not see all that God is doing.
Let our stance to always trust God. Love can also mean our saying no to others.
8I replied, “There is no truth in any part of your story. You are making up the whole thing.” 9They were just trying to intimidate us, imagining that they could discourage us and stop the work. So I continued the work with even greater determination. 12I realized that God had not spoken to him, but that he had uttered this prophecy against me because Tobiah and Sanballat had hired him. 13They were hoping to intimidate me and make me sin. Then they would be able to accuse and discredit me. 16When our enemies and the surrounding nations heard about it, they were frightened and humiliated. They realized this work had been done with the help of our God.
