Scripture Reflection by Sang Sur on Daniel 2:14-15 posted September 13, 2024 - Prayer Tents

Just carriers of Satan’s wishes.
From this passage, we can see the soldier wasn't as motivated to kill the people whom the king ordered to have killed.
In fact, when Daniel, a person who had a relationship with God asked, he explained the situation. The kill would have pursued if what Daniel said did not properly diffuse what was said.
Spiritual warfare that we experience daily is the same. People come to us angry, including upset drivers on the road. It is not them whom we must fear or retaliate against. Satan has blinded them and given them orders.
Rightly, in spiritual warfare, as God directs us, we must diffuse and bring healing to the carrier. Only God can do this, and we are His carriers. Will we diffuse the next spiritual encounter, or will we give in and be just the same?
14When Arioch, the commander of the king’s guard, came to kill them, Daniel handled the situation with wisdom and discretion. 15He asked Arioch, “Why has the king issued such a harsh decree?” So Arioch told him all that had happened.

Prayer Tents is a Christian mission organization that serves Christians around the world and their local bodies to make disciples ("evangelize") more effectively in their communities. Prayer Tents provides resources to enable Christians to form discipleship-focused small groups and make their gatherings known so that other "interested" people may participate and experience Christ in their midst. Our Vision is to make disciples in all nations through the local churches so that anyone seeking God can come to know Him through relationships with other Christians near them.
