DOT

A minute detail of the law, cited by Jesus to emphasize the permanence and value of the OT law (Matt. 5:18; Luke 16:17). Matthew mentions it with the iota, the name for the smallest letter of the Greek alphabet. Gk. keraía, “dot” (“apex of a letter”), refers to small parts of a letter (NRSV “stroke of a letter”; KJV “tittle”), either a mark of distinction between the Hebrew letters or, more probably, a scribal ornament added to various letters.

Prayer Tents is a Christian mission organization that serves Christians around the world and their local bodies to make disciples ("evangelize") more effectively in their communities. Prayer Tents provides resources to enable Christians to form discipleship-focused small groups and make their gatherings known so that other "interested" people may participate and experience Christ in their midst. Our Vision is to make disciples in all nations through the local churches so that anyone seeking God can come to know Him through relationships with other Christians near them.
