FUEL

A combustible material in a solid, liquid, or gaseous state, which gives off heat when ignited. It is used to produce heat energy for domestic or industrial purposes. All fuels are a combination of carbon and hydrogen compounds. Fuel can be categorized into recent plant and animal fuels such as sticks of wood, charcoal, and dung, fossil fuels such as peat, lignite, coal, and oil, as well as products of distillation of plant and fossil fuels such as today’s gasoline. The burning of fuels (Heb. peḥām) usually results in producing a variety of harmful gases such as carbon monoxide. The Bible makes mention of coals (gaele) brought about by burning juniper (Ps. 120:4), burning dung to cook bread and fish (Ezek. 4:15), and wood being used as fuel for warmth (John 18:18). Fuel is also mentioned in connection with burnt offerings (Lev. 16:12) and the production of fire or the wrath of the Lord (Isa. 9:19).

Prayer Tents is a Christian mission organization that serves Christians around the world and their local bodies to make disciples ("evangelize") more effectively in their communities. Prayer Tents provides resources to enable Christians to form discipleship-focused small groups and make their gatherings known so that other "interested" people may participate and experience Christ in their midst. Our Vision is to make disciples in all nations through the local churches so that anyone seeking God can come to know Him through relationships with other Christians near them.
